In what could be worrying news for eating out venues across the capital and around the country, a new Ordoo survey has found that waiting in long queues at the bar, or for a complex cocktail to arrive, had ruined the first date for almost fifty per cent of respondents.

While restaurants and venues use their exotic and creative cocktail menus to lure in customers, restaurateurs may be unaware that 47% of consumers report that slow, complex cocktails have spoiled their evening. Negative experiences can be fatal to a venue.

Ordoo, one of the UK’s leading mobile order ahead technology companies, is working with restaurants to ensure no customer ever experiences another agonising wait. By allowing customers to order drinks or food from their phones, they no longer have their evening interrupted by frequent queues at the bar, whilst staff can better manage the customer queue with Ordoo’s new technology.

Now 10% and growing of all Ordoo venues are using the order-ahead app to help their customers avoid the wait at the bar. So instead of an awkward 10 minutes or longer wait for their for their Strawberry Daiquiri, the customer can now enjoy their date without disruption.
